Born in picturesque Calabria, Italy, Francesco Castiglione has built a career around one passion: bringing people together through music and entertainment.
A graduate of the Conservatory of Music in Cosenza, Italy, Francesco brought his musical background and Italian heritage to the United States, where his career quickly expanded from live music and vocal performance to television, radio, celebrity events, private celebrations, and, most importantly, weddings.
Today, Francesco is a specialized wedding DJ, MC, entertainer, vocalist, and musician, bringing a unique combination of live performance and professional DJ entertainment to every celebration. With decades of experience entertaining weddings throughout the New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, Rhode Island and Massachusetts he understands that a great wedding is about much more than simply playing music.
Francesco works closely with every couple to create a celebration that reflects their personality, culture, family, and musical taste. From the ceremony and cocktail hour to introductions, first dances, dinner, special moments, and a packed dance floor, Francesco knows how to read the room, engage guests of every generation, and keep the celebration flowing naturally from beginning to end.
What truly distinguishes Francesco is his versatility. He can move seamlessly from DJ to Master of Ceremonies, from vocalist to live musician, and from elegant background entertainment to high-energy dance-floor interaction. His Italian musical roots and extensive American entertainment experience also make him an ideal choice for Italian-American and multicultural weddings, where different generations and musical traditions come together.
Francesco’s entertainment career has also taken him to television, radio, celebrity venues, and prestigious private events. Early in his U.S. career, he traveled to Hollywood, California, where he performed for E! Television’s “Celebrity Dish” featuring Michael Badalucco of The Practice. In 2003, he made multiple appearances on NBC’s hit show The Restaurant with celebrity chef Rocco DiSpirito.
He has performed at legendary and well-known venues including Rao’s in New York City, Arthur Avenue in the Bronx, Valbella in Greenwich, Connecticut, and celebrity restaurants in Chicago and Hollywood.
As a vocalist, musician, and producer, Francesco has also created original music, including “Terra Bella,” a collaboration with South American singer Derek Lopez.
His career later expanded into radio, where he worked alongside Michael and David Greco of Mike’s Deli on Arthur Avenue, personalities associated with the Italian-American community and WVIP 93.5 FM. Over the years, the program welcomed notable guests from the worlds of entertainment, food, business, and Italian-American culture.
Francesco has also had the opportunity to perform at special events honoring personalities including Jerry Vale and Buddy “Cake Boss” Valastro, Joe Bastianich, and appear on the set of The Intern starring Robert De Niro.
Another memorable career highlight was performing during events surrounding Mike Piazza’s induction into the Baseball Hall of Fame, at a private celebration attended by prominent figures from entertainment, sports, and business.
Despite these career highlights, Francesco’s greatest passion remains wedding entertainment.
For Francesco, every wedding is different. His goal is not to deliver a standard DJ performance, but to create an experience where the couple feels celebrated, the families feel included, and guests remember the dance floor long after the final song.
